Prompt 6 - ekphrasis poem
I am my own Buddha
In silence and serenity you live
With hands on your laps
In a pose of padmasan
Radiating enlightenment
Reflecting;
you are off materialistic ally
Looking at me with closed eyes
As though making me feel inferior
Because of grevious sins on my soul
I walk on this earth very old
Nay! i am not a loser as you make me feel
With your locked eyes
you make me feel as a criminal
A crown on your head is a proof
You still have a greed to conquer
A world that you made but is unconquered
And you decided to never be like us
Standing on my place and looking as i do
From there you just look at me with glory
Displaying pompously your enlightenment
I smile to see you naive, immatured
I am not laughing at your sins and greed
Neither am i making mockery of your clothes
You are you i am me
You live as you want to live
It's your karma that will decide your form
It's my karma i am here, looking down on you
As you have a notion about me
I am sitting here with closed eyes
With no physical form but just enlightenment
In deep meditation for the world
I have renounced for betterment of people
Like you and all the others
I want you all to follow the path of Dharma
Dharma! This word makes me laugh
Which dharma you talk about?
Give me one dharma that is the truth
Most of the dharma in our world are fake
These Gurus, and religious leaders
Who takes the place of yours
Under the huge conopy of dharma
I can see their inflation of egos
When people throng around them
If i need to follow, i shall follow you
Direct as you did for noble cause of people
If i need to follow Dharma,
It shall be in a form of noble service
To not hurt any living beings
as much as possible.
