Tears of Joy
Once a refugee shouldn’t be refugee forever
Here he migrates to his country
Provided to him is his nationality Of the country he belonged with pride
For years, he had flown tears
Made our soil fertile till his dried
Our rivers were full and crops in abundance
We shared with them as we do with our brothers
They were in thousands with uncertainity
Lived a life of nomads
Homeless, still home everywhere
He lived temporarily on jobs odd
Feeding stomach of his family
He tried to cover his roof with tarpaulins
But he had to make a roof of ordinary blue plastic to save himself and his family from rain
No voice can be louder than voice of hunger
He can go to any extend to stop that voice
He fed his stomach with meagre food
Here comes our government
Signed an agreement
To send all refugees home
With due respect
They are welcomed back
Offered a job to all
After a long will tears welled up in their eyes
This time those tears will be “ tears of joy.”
