Dyslexia of Line

                                   Dyslexia of Line

Finishing with zero our teacher told us let’s begin with line. From definition to its value that is from beginning of the queue of theories and theorems. While sitting in the class my thought started wondering to the day I took my first step in the definition of the line of education.  My drawing of the line of misery had begun from that very day.
No sooner the lesson one of the lines had just begun and butterflies in my stomach started to flutter. Mind started going numb, anxiety over powering the mind, my teacher’s voice trailing far behind my knowledge of understandability. Suddenly, a question was thrown upon me. It was a ball smashing my head very hard. I look dumbfounded at my teacher’s face. All the other children laughing like watching a cartoon show. My sensitive nature could not be hidden and humiliation was written large on my face. My teacher’s anger knew no boundaries and started hitting scores of foul words till her energy level lowered to the lowest point of her temper, still not satisfied I was thrown out of her maths class and that was the beginning of my dyslexia towards numbers and lines and all the other related to mathematics.

When I reached home I was asked by my father, a next tormentor in line, addition of fuel to the fire on line about the happenings of the classroom. I told him everything except my maths class punishment. Later on, I was told to take out my maths book so the tragedy which I thought has ended was my false belief and was the resumption of another line of woes. My father being short tempered could not handle my dyslexia in mathematics. He - a beginning of nonstop torturous flooding me with line of questions and then starts the flow of tears from my eyes. My mother tried to interrupt but was reprimanded and was asked to stay away. Anyhow I finish my line of visiting the temples of knowledge as an average student in maths.

Reading my article on zero my father called me to ask for how long will I be stuck on zero? Why can’t I catch the other writers and write something intellectual rather than writing for every tom, dick and harry. According to him my writing acquires no class and is not meant to win a best seller award. He wanted me to write for literates so that he can thump his chest with superficial pride.

My lesson on the importance of lines had begun with How’s and why’s about straight line more the line is perfect more intelligent he is considered to be so the first lesson of line is line of perfection. This theory of straight line took my flight of imagination in the time and direction of that particular intelligent man who have constructed the most perfect line on this earth. My thoughts were yelling at the man, who came out with the theory of the most perfect line. For me a line of my close associates is the most imperfect line formed by default who reprimanded me for my dyslexia of line. They feel whenever I go at a place where there has to be a line drawn I for one will soon be ready to jump out of the line impulsively to reach the starting point of the line taking pride in achieving the target of line.

In India, lines are very long and frequently drawn unconcern and unaware of the thickness, singles or doubles as our number and density of population is increasing four times in comparison to other countries.  It is rightly said Indians are expert in making and breaking number of lines and practiced hard enough to win a medal in the sport of breaking and making many lines in the world. Whenever you find a broken line it is understood it must be an Indian especially like me very poor in understanding and drawing a definition of straight line. For me drawing a line is very time consuming and boring but I am happy that I am not the only one who is unhappy with the definition of the line. Without any arguments it can be seen in India where people are use to jumping out of the line breaking the rule of the line of perfection so I am happy that I am not alone who is suffering from the new found name of the disease according to the scientists called dyslexia.

How can I forget my line of woes which is still in continuation with the present tense situation where only the relations of tormentor have changed? According to my new tormentor – my husband, I am worst in making line and best in missing or jumping out of the line especially in the situation where I have to make a line to buy a movie ticket. Looking and understanding the line over there I can see myself standing on the end point of the line because we as usual are every time late and last in purchasing a ticket. Our decision of watching a movie is celebrated with immense joy when I achieve a target of our goal of purchasing a movie ticket that too by breaking a huge time-consuming line henceforth, stressing me to draw another new line of argument with my husband.

Another tormenting line begins in the wash room during interval; while in the washroom having many end points with not a single accurate line followed. Here are the lines drawn in the most haphazard ways if resulted will lead to very poor ranking. When the line drawn in washroom is over then starts the line at the end of the movie evidently when people are ready to leave. As soon as ‘the end’ of the movie is displayed on the screen the starting point of the line begins. There are not one or two but many lines from not just one single point but many different points forming a square, a rectangle and lines taking myriad shapes. After struggling out of the line I can still sense the lines of frowns and anger on my husband’s face and feel the line of contentment in my heart as I have been successful in achieving a line of facts which I wouldn’t had achieved studying the definition of drawing a straight and perfect lines through my academic years.

Health beauty and sex appeal.

To remain healthy it is necessary one has to remain healthy physically as well as mentally. Unless one takes out few hours from one’s daily routine to pamper and concentrate on oneself it will be impossible to remain healthy and fit. Every woman likes to hear when someone tells her at the age of forties she looks stunning. It is indeed very pleasing to hear this appreciation. But many of them fail to fight the effects of aging due to their life style; tension related to their home and office, several diseases etc. with extra efforts one can achieve this appreciation. Nowadays one finds beauty saloons and fitness centre a booming business and flourishing in every nooks and corners of the streets. Everyone has become conscientious of their fitness and style. Women go to any extent to look flawless like going through risky cosmetic surgeries daily flashing in the media. They spent ten percent of their income on cosmetics and other beauty process.
Revathi is a busy renowned doctor of the town still she is suffering from blood pressure and diabetes. She is frustrated with daily popping pills and sometimes she has to take leave from her hectic schedule and sit at home to take rest. People find it surprising that despite of being well acquainted with all medical treatments and being a renowned specialist how can she be a victim of dreadful diseases. Who says diseases cannot enter in to medical practioners house? There is no board outside any doctor’s house like prohibition of diseases will be strictly punished. revathi knows the reason behind her poor health but she couldn’t help as she has no time to look after herself. Her stressful life and negligence is the main reason of all her problems. She has never ever given a thought on her own health. While lying on the bed suddenly she broke down and cried in front of her husband Jigar. Her husband Jigar is an industrialist who has his own businesses and has managed his business life and personal life in a very organized way. Daily morning he wakes up at six and does yoga at home then at seven he runs on the treadmill for half an hour. He has his breakfast which contains sandwiches, khakras, powa, upma etc. with a cup of milk. He always visits his doctor for regular heath check-ups that is once in a six month and regularly checks his blood sugar and blood pressure. He believes in maintaining healthy diet and good habits. He feels one has to follow exercise and diet regime just as one follows his regular habit of brushing teeth and taking bath. Healthy body works for healthy mind they both are interdependent and complimentary to each other.
To stay mentally fit one must cultivate hobbies like reading, gardening, and gaining knowledge through net and other sources. One must always have good collection of books and develop the habit of reading good books. Good books are just like good nutritious meal for healthy mind. Books have not to be just meant for academic growth but for recreation too. One can go for good novels written by good authors and it is said to get a positive feeling one must read good book before starting his day so that throughout the day he gets positive feelings which can benefit him in his work. Good books can inspire him to take right decisions in his work. One has to always remain updated with the changing times.
It is said if one is mentally and physically healthy one can gain a good complexion and good posture. Glow on the face and our postures all depends upon our thoughts. Our expressions our sitting style and our body language indicates our mental status. However hard we try to makeover still we will find the dullness outside if our inner beauty is not enhanced by our inner thoughts and this can be done by exercise meditation and looking after oneself by pampering our body. Everybody once in a month must visit a beautician to enhance the self confidence within us. Self confidence can create good positive vibration from within and can be helpful in maintaining good relations. It must be surprising what role can a beautician play in enhancing the inner growth?
Soumya is a manager in a well reputed firm. Despite of being very hard working she couldn’t get promotion in her job. She felt her boss always was dissatisfied with her. Her juniors who were not as able as her were getting promoted she was frustrated all the credit of her work was given to them. Her colleagues were always talking about beauty tips or what other one had worn on so and so day. They always kept a watch on how one looked when one came to work. They always kept a distance from Soumya and were disinterested in whatever she spoke. One day eventually she asked one of her colleague- a friend - the reason she candidly advised her to groom herself in an appropriate way for e.g. Wearing clothes according to one’s body structure, height and color also one must keep in mind the place she visits. about visiting beauty saloon for her makeover. She made Soumya aware of her skin and her hairdo which requires a good beautician. On that day Soumya along with her friend visited a beautician after office she looked at Soumya carefully and instructed for the hair cut which was very traditional and oily then she gave Soumya a facial treatment required for her skin which had few wrinkles and needed cleansing because her skin was damaged by regular traveling. She was instructed on her dressing style and jewellery too. Next day in office everybody was taken aback by the change that Soumya had, she looked stunning and gorgeous. Her boss was impressed with her dressing and her new hairstyle. She and her friend were overjoyed. Her friend and she herself could not believe how gorgeous and ravishing she looked. Sometimes for grooming one has to take professional help because that develops self confidence. With good presentation confidence automatically builds up within and that reflects your inner self.
Every women must know to be successful one has to have good health, inner beauty, good style of clothing. Grooming has to be very important part of your daily life irrespective to the age. I know women in their late forties or fifties doesn’t give much importance to grooming they feel now they are old enough and should go easy on their outer personality and they neglect themselves and take their being for granted, slowly these thoughts take over and they feel dejected and depress. Indeed one must start taking more care as one crosses their thirties they must be regular in visiting health clubs, beauty saloons and try wearing clothes which suits their body and style. Whatever be the age one must feel proud of her body type and make a note of one’s best features. Nice legs, a great bust line, slim shoulders, nice toes, attractive eyes, Figure it out and capitalize on those assets. Dresses have to be worn that can hide the flaws and enhance the striking parts.
Your personal appeal begins with your own view of yourself, the pleasure and joy you take in being who you are. The ideal wife might be best described as: sensual without being overtly sexual. An author said “A man is intrigued and challenged by a woman who is an interesting person in her own right, whose personality has enough depth to provide that essential ingredient for any successful relationship.” He adds that health, vanity, happiness and a "dash of imperfection" all combine to enhance a woman's sex appeal. Psychiatrists agree that being beautiful doesn't guarantee sex appeal, which, they say, is actually a reflection of a person's inner confidence and positive feeling about himself or herself. The person who doesn't feel lovable or good enough doesn't project sex appeal. It's important that you feel good about yourself, and if you do, others will be attracted to you. You will have sex appeal. Personality and sex appeal are reflected in one's attire. Invest a little time and money on different bright colour attires as one grows older. One must neither take their man for granted as one grows old. One must take a note of how sex life improves as time goes on. She must try different means and methods to keep herself appealing to her man.  For women, makeup should be natural looking to accent their best features rather than an attempt to create a new face. Too much makeup can leave you looking cheap and unattractive.
One should not forget to Increase one’s sex appeal whatever age he or she belongs to. groom your looks and look sexier. They say that there's a sex kitten simmering within every one of us. Well, if you feel a stab of envy every time you browse through those young models it's about time you took a step towards looking utterly sexy and sensuous. One can try out candle light dinner put on soft music before moving into bed. One has to remain constantly alert to her spouse needs. Whenever he is home from work she should try her magic on by wearing a million dollar smile and her neat attire. One should avoid all phone calls unless necessary because that can spoil the mood of her hungry man.
Qualities of woman being special to her man can bring joy to her spouse and within her. This can lead into a blissful marital life. If not married and searching for Mr. perfect then one has to be perfect herself not just by outer beauty but also through taking care what a man looks for in his wife before settling down. Men before settling will not prefer an hour glass figure or mere outer beauty but inner sex appeal too like her body language and the way of her attitude towards her own self will matter to him. Many women think if they are beautiful they do not require any extra effort is a myth that has to be soon rectified to live a good life with beautiful body and beautiful mind.

LINE OF INTERVENTION

Isn’t it weird to say it’s my life, in whatever way I want to live I live, but out of us all, how far have we lived our life without bothering for our near and dear ones and this whole lot society? Society is the dominating factor of our life, sooner or later we all fall in the trap of this society. It is this society giving us our daily bread butter how can we ignore then? This responsibility enters in our life when we have cut our cord with our parents, in their shelter you can brag about how independent u r but ultimately you are obliged towards society and you will have to repay it sooner or later.
However hard the rules and regulations are, but it is a line drawn at a certain point, a full stop for us and to erase the line or full stop can lead us to barbarian act. This barbarian act can hinder or intervene others freedom of living.  Society itself is a line drawn for all of us to follow. The line which defines our act against barbarism is not limited or immovable. It keeps on extending slowly as people release their biases of intervention. Sometimes, definition of barbarian itself has to be modified from generation to generation what was previously known as barbarian is now not been considered barbarianism. It is okay with the people to break or modify certain rules and this brings revolution in the line of intervention. No longer do people bother about the previous set ups they easily accept new lines drawn by the society.
If there wouldn’t have been changes or lines extended the world would had come to halt. Life would have become monotonous, progress would have stopped. It is not just in one field but everyday life we care to bring slight changes. These changes builds our motivation to do something new achieve something great and here we misinterpret this change as an egoism, causing havoc with the preceding generation.  Here starts the beginning of generation gap. The line of intervention which younger generation extends for their comforts is understood as inconsideration towards elders and beliefs that was set up long back by the ancestors.
Imagine, world not changing, lines not extending where would have we stood now? We would have still been living in a jungle with animals involved in a barbarian act followed by our ancestors’ when there were no such lines, no societies to bother about.  It is the theory of two extremities only difference is that now barbarism is enveloped with intelligence given the name of modernity and is concealed with gift wrappers to look presentable and acceptable and previously it was done in ignorance and for basic necessity of life.
It is not that our ancestors had no lines drawn of intervention in others privacy but that line slowly was extended by their descendants  and in this way progress was happening , thinking  broadening, set- ups changing, habits and styles changing , in this way life revolutionized, but for better or for worse that only future  of the world can predict.  How far this line will be stretched this only time will tell.

Power of Zero

‘Zero’ sounds nothing only emptiness but still its value is not at all uncertain.  Except intellectuals like Newton, Ramanujaan, and writers like Shobha de, Arundhati Roy and me who so ever had thought about it?  A four letters word zero but four though so heavy weighted is stampede with power of ‘0’ so four letters stand out of place. Let’s define ‘Zero’. It fulfills a central role in mathematics as the additive identity of the integers, real numbers, and many other algebraic structures. As a digit, 0 is used as a placeholder in place value systems. In the English language, 0 may be called zero, nougat or (US) naught (no), nil, or "o". Informal or slang terms for zero include zilch and zip.  A circle of zero says nothing nullifying everything but its circumference is heavily formulated with the word ‘2πr’god knows why? Maybe, its heavy formula is heavily guarded with the circle drawn with pencil symbolizes to the ‘Laxman Rekha’ drawn by our brother Laxman portraying loyalty towards his sister in law and his brother Ram. The line of zero cannot be under estimated. Zero alone looks like a pauper standing alone near the temple and begging but imagine if somebody pours 5 to it then the power of zero rises to 50 that is its value has increased two folds.
Records show that the ancient Greeks seemed unsure about the status of zero as a number. They asked themselves, "How can nothing be something?” leading to philosophical and, by the medieval period, religious arguments about the nature and existence of zero and the vacuum to reduce to zero in physics, the zero-point energy is the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical physical system may possess and is the energy of the ground state of the system.
The concept of "nothing" is a symbolic placeholder that really means "the connection between some elements that we cannot see at the moment." We have the word "nothing" but it doesn't correspond to anything that we actually experience. The absence of something is still a thing, i.e., it is air. Or it is the space that joins/divides/differentiates things. But there was an entire thread dedicated to the question of "Nothing," so I don't think we should go into that too much …but still zero has the power to say nothing into something. This illogical zero means nothing has evidently great power to say everything. When we enter into the room we do not find anything we say oh! There is nothing in the room. At this point we are incorrect because there is a logical vacuum filling the space which occupies whole of the space of the room.
